Tree Felling on Lakeside Drive

From the 2nd  - 16th of June there will be tree felling on lakeside drive.

This work involves the removal of the majority of pines situated on the northern side of Lakeside Drive in Passive Recreation zoned land. 

When travelling to Tekapo Springs please take extra care when driving down the main drive towards us.

Ice Rink Update

Winter has arrived early and our ice rink has been a hive of activity!
We have a few upcoming dates where the ice rink is closed due to private bookings and ice hockey tournaments.
Dates are as follows:

  • May 15th - CLOSED ALL DAY
  • May 16th - Times available 12.15pm - 4.00pm
  • May 17th - Times available after 1.30pm

  • August 8th - Times available after 12.30pm
  • August 9th - Times available after 11.45pm
  • August 23rd - ClOSED ALL DAY

Fun with Ice

313074 10150321974648910 1832501499 nHey Guys, my name is Sam aka Ginge and I’m 21 years old! I started skating when I was 8 years old and took to the ice like a fish to water! Throughout my skating career I was a five X NZ national ice figure skating champion and a four X NZ international representative. When I was living in Norway on an AFS student exchange I was luck enough to be able to carry on skating being trained by one of the best coaches in Scandinavia and training along side the top skaters in Norway! This was an amazing experience and a lot of hard work!

Tekapo Springs Wins Tourism Industry Award

Leading South Island business Tekapo Springs takes out title of best tourism operator

 l r matthew lanyon jenny koberstein cathy hemsworth and jeff smith media smMulti-award-winning Tekapo Springs has cemented its position as one of the South Island's top tourism operators taking out the title of best business in the tourism industry category at the 2013 South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce Awards in Timaru last night (August 30 2013).

The leading tourism company, which also won the Supreme Award in 2010 and has a number of other accolades under its belt, pipped a number of other tourism heavyweights to the post to take out the prestigious title. Tekapo Springs General Manager Cathy Hemsworth accepted the award with the rest of the management staff on behalf of "our amazing team" and said she was "over the moon" with the achievement.
