The soothing hot water and inspiring views combine to infuse you with a feeling of calm and relaxation. Each pool offers a different view; the brilliant blue of Lake Tekapo, sparse golden mountain ranges, pine forest and the pure blue skies of the Mackenzie Region. As the sun sets, watch the beautiful changing light and colours on the mountains and in the sky. By night, marvel at the dazzling stars of a dark sky reserve that encompasses Tekapo and the wider Mackenzie Region.

Our pools are named and shaped in honour of the Mackenzie Region’s iconic lakes: Ohau, Pukaki and Tekapo. Each pool has benched seating, so you can sit back and relax in comfort. Ohau has water curtains for a light, soothing effect while Pukaki has massage jets to relieve those aches and pains. Our hottest pool, Tekapo, is a calming, adults-only space with inspiring views of Lake Tekapo and the Two Thumb mountain range. Each pool is 40 square metres, and one metre deep at the deepest point.

Our landscaping has been carefully designed with unique alpine plants and trees from around the region. Greywacke boulders unearthed during construction of Tekapo Springs complement the native plants and schist rock forms our pathways. Native birds, like the fantail/piwakawaka and grey warbler/riroriro, are sometimes seen flitting around the pools and in the forest.
