ICE SKATING

OPEN

Experience the fun and freedom of ice skating on our spacious outdoor rink! This international-sized rink is one of the most scenic in New Zealand, with views of Lake Tekapo and the mountains. Wooden tables and an open fire are situated rink-side so you can take a break and warm up, or just watch the action from a comfortable seat.

Admission to the rink covers all-day/multiple-entry skating (keep your wristband on) and your skates and helmet are included in the ticket price. Anyone on the ice rink must be wearing ice-skates at all times, no exceptions and children are unable to be carried

Throughout the ice-rink  season we do have a number of private events and tournaments, so check out our event calendar below for the best time to visit.

Meet Wyatt and Abbey

Our Ice Skating Coaches

Wyatt Fournier

His impressive career includes winning a Collegiate Hockey Championship with the Vancouver Island University Mariners, earning two Bronze Medals at the U18 Native Provincial Championships, and competing in Junior Hockey leagues across Western Canada (NWJHL, KIJHL, VIJHL, GMHL).

After beginning her skating journey at just three years old, she represented New Zealand as a competitive figure skater before transitioning to ice hockey, where she has represented New Zealand for six seasons.
Abbey recently won a silver medal at the Division IIB World Championships in Dunedin and celebrated a major victory with the Melbourne Ice, winning the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey Championship. With a strong coaching background across figure skating, roller hockey, and ice hockey — including assisting the NZ U18 Women’s team to a gold medal — Abbey is passionate about helping others build confidence and skills on the ice.
